ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — When the pandemic started, a local single mom’s business came to a halt.
So Karen Rae started reevaluating her life and discovered the changes she made could also help others.
“My business came to a screeching halt and I lost my income over night and it was scary I didn’t know what I was going to do,” said Rae.
Rae was a single mom living in St. Pete without a clear direction.
“I no longer wanted my days controlling me, I wanted to regain control of my life and so I wrote a plan that evening on how I intended to do it,” said Rae.
The plan is based around the five Fs.
“Faith, family, finances, fitness and friendships,” said Rae. “We are not going to spend equal time in each one of these five areas, it can be as few as five minutes a day that brings balance into our life.”
Day-by-day Rae said she felt mentally, physically and spiritually healthier and that’s when she decided this was her new life’s work.
“After writing that plan I thought, ‘wow I definitely need this,’ but others need it as well and that was the start of Balanced Life by Karen Rae,” said Rae.
The planner is currently in production and already receiving pre-orders. Rae always dreamed of doing something to help people, but never expected that dream would come true during a pandemic.
“This is the silver lining of the pandemic in our home and I believe without a shadow of a doubt it will make a difference in other people’s lives,” said Rae.
