Regal Cinemas considers temporary closure of all U.S. locations, some local locations have closed

Cineworld Cinemas, the parent company of Regal Cinemas, announced on Twitter that they are considering the temporary closure of their U.S. and U.K. locationsABC Action News has confirmed at least one local Regal Cinemas location has closed for the time being. The Hollywood 18 Regal Cinemas theater in Port Richey closed following a evening movie showing on Sunday.Employees took down movie posters and showtime slots shortly after their last Sunday showing.“Movie theaters have been a part of our lives for so many years. People love to get out, enjoy themselves with friends, and this is just another thing that’s been taken away from us,” said Rick Styblewski, a Port Richey man who regularly visits Hollywood 18.Cineworld Cinemas made the announcement just a day after learning that the latest James Bond move, “No Time To Die,” is delayed until next spring. Regal Cinemas is the second largest cinema in the United States after AMC Theaters. Regal reopened their doors, for many Florida locations, in August.Cineworld Cinemas says once they reach a decision on their locations, they will “update all staff and customers.”
