PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A person is dead and another person was able to escape an early morning house fire in Wesley Chapel, according to fire officials.

Two people were at the house on 4000 block of Lado Drive when the fire started, according to Corey Dierdorff, the public information officer for the Pasco County Fire Rescue.
Dierdorff wrote in a news release that one person was able to escape the house, but firefighters found a body during search efforts. The condition of the person who escaped from the house has not been released.
Firefighters got to the house at around 6:10 a.m.
The identities of the two people have not been released.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Pasco County Fire Marshall’s Office, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigation.
