Nana strengthens into hurricane, no threat to Florida

MIAMI — Nana, the fourteenth named storm of the hurricane season, has strengthened into a hurricane on Wednesday night.

According to the National Hurricane Center’s 11 p.m. update, Nana is packing 75 mph winds and is 60 miles southeast of Belize City. Hurricane Nana is also moving west at 16 mph, NHC said.

Nana is just hours from making landfall along the coast of Belize, NHC said.

* Isla Roatan and the Bay Islands of Honduras

Tropical Storm Watch:
* Northern coast of Honduras from Punta Patuca westward to the Guatemala border
