A developing storm over the Gulf of Mexico will bring periods of rain and wind to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

As an area of low pressure develops in the Gulf and moves eastward across the state, rain will develop through the day. The rain will be mostly light to moderate and it will not rain everywhere all day.
It will be breezy at times as the storm system crosses the state.
Saturday’s rain chance is 80%.
The best chance for steady rain will be during the early part of the afternoon.
The storm moves off into the Atlantic by Sunday with a northerly wind on the back side of it. This will bring in a cool, dry air mass to the area on Sunday.
Sunday is the pick of the weekend with lots of sun and highs near 70.
It turns chilly Sunday night and temperatures could dip into the 30s across our northern counties Monday morning.
Warmer weather with continued sunshine settles in through next week.
A northeast wind of 10-20 knots will keep seas running from 2 to 4 feet on Saturday.
There will be a moderate chop as a storm system moves in from the Gulf of Mexico.
