Dr. Jill Biden Makes Virtual “Campaign Stop” At Pasco-Hernando State College

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — The Biden campaign made a virtual stop at Pasco-Hernando State College Wednesday.

Students got a surprise virtual visit from Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The visit is part of her “Back to School” campaign tour.

Jill Biden, who has spent three decades as a teacher, spoke about virtual learning and the reopening of schools.

“We know that educators want to be back in schools,” she said. “But we also know the health and students is most important.”

Jill Biden also spoke about the importance of voting. 

She’s expected to make some other virtual campaign stops in other battleground states.

Both Democrats and Republicans have been working to energize voters in Florida and other battleground states.

PHSC Professor Devina Jones said that’s part of why she organized this talk.

“Our job is not to so much sell a campaign,” Jones said. “But to allow students to be exposed to campaigns as much as possible.”
