BRADENTON, Fla. — Deputies are investigating a shooting near U.S. 41 in Bradenton Thursday afternoon.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a shooting near the intersection of U.S. 41 (or 1st Street) and 26th Avenue West.
According to deputies, two cars were driving southbound in the area shooting at each other. A female bystander was hit in the crossfire and was taken to the hospital.
As of Thursday afternoon, deputies do not have a description of the two suspect cars.
The shooting investigation has shut down U.S. 41 in both directions from 17th Avenue West to 28th Avenue West.
